Jessners, TCA 13% followed by dream peel gave me the most amazing peel. I had been wanting ro recreate the VI PEEL & thanks to you Jennifer & Dora, I did just that. I absolutely love the Jessners!!! I just cannot bring myself to give Platinum less than 5 ★ for this because it is completely NOT THEIR FAULT! I loved the Jessners peel the 1st time I used it. It was a great way to get amazing results with my 1st peel ever without burning my face off like the horror stories I saw online. Unfortunately, however, when I did my 2nd Jessners, I had developed an allergy & ended up with dermatitis. Nothing I couldn't manage with my Romance numbing cream, Benadryl cream, & my Rx Betasone (I use for intermittent itchy scalp). I had done my research & knew an allergic rxn is a potentiality with Resourcinol, & it was MY choice to try the product anyway, it has nothing to do with Platinum. I will note that since I just did 1 layer for my 1st peel, I only waited 2 weeks before doing my 2nd, during which I did 3 layers. If you're going to have an allergic rxn, it most often occurs after the 1st exposure, because our bodies create antibodies against the substance from that 1st exposure (why some chemicals & not others? Not sure!). Luckily, my rxn was somewhat localized to the edges of my face & not all over. Anyways, after a full 4 wk break, I switched to TCA 14% for my 3rd peel (Platinum, of course!), & experienced a perfect peel with dramatic results. Thank you, Platinum, for introducing me to the world of peeling. I apologize that the images are a bit blurry, my screen is cracked right over the lens. But you can still see the dramatic difference, & this is only 6 weeks since my 1st peel ever. No makeup, no Photoshop. My skin is incredibly resilient, significantly more even, and my once-combination skin has become non-oily, non-dry. I was told I had hormonal breakouts, but after starting peeling, I haven't broken out once pre-cycle. Jessners is definitely worth a try if you are fighting pigmentation issues & are apprehensive about trying peels like I was. Jen walks you through EVERYTHING with her tutorials, she even does the peel along WITH you on her videos. Very thorough, very informative. FOLLOW YOUR PRE-PEEL PREP GUIDELINES TO A TEE- Jen tells you exactly what to do & how to do it to minimize any risks from doing a peel. I love how she suggests her products but doesn't push them- I have a few things I'm loyal to like my cleanser, toner, hydroquinone, & my Rx tretinoin, & as long as you use the same type of product, she accepts that. That in itself has made me try more of her products just because I know she's not pushing them as a marketing gimmick. This line is completely legit, fairly priced, & high quality. DONT settle for a cheaper or stronger acid from someone else- Platinum's pH is exactly right, their purity is true, & the ingredients they use to address skin concerns are the most contemporary research-backed effective ingredients available. I love how Jen works directly with a dermatologist & even solicits his opinion on inquiries she's unsure about or for elaborating on an important topic. I will forever be a Platinum client. Before we jump into peels, did you know the best way to get the most effective results is to prep your skin 2-4 weeks before your peel? ✨How to prep for a peel✨ 1~ Make sure your skin is healthy and in good shape. If not I can help assist you in preparing for a peel. You want to make sure your skin is very hydrated prior to your peel. 2~ Make sure to use a melanin pigment inhibitor 2-4 weeks prior to your peel. This will help slow down the excess melanin production in your skin. This is the foundation to start prepping your skin for your peel to work more safely and effectively to prevent post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. (This is VERY important for darker skinned tones.) 3~ You will need to start protecting your skin by wearing SPF every ?? single ?? day! Even if you’re not going outside or if its gloomy and the sun is not out. The UV rays still come through the windows and the blue light from your devices can cause photo aging. If you are getting a chemical peel done and not wearing SPF, you are wasting your time and ?.
