This trend has been gaining momentum over the past year or so and it doesn't look to be slowing down! German-themed Wedding Rehearsal Dinner is a brilliant way to combine your heritage and your wedding. I think it's a really great way to honor your culture as part of your wedding without feeling like your giving up your "dream dress" or the classic look of a bridal party or groom in a tux.

I've made many dirndls for brides who intended on wearing their "Bridal Dirndls" not on their wedding day, but to the rehearsal dinner. This allows them to feel more comfortable adding color to their dirndl and making it more versatile and wearable for future events.

If you ask me, planning and executing a themed shower or rehearsal dinner is also much easier. It limits the foods you have to choose from, the decor, the invitations, etc. Less options = less decision fatigue. You can also invite your guests to dress up which makes the whole event so much fun!My friend Scott from Backyard Oktoberfest has a bunch of tips, tricks, lists and ideas on his website which you can use as a base for planning your rehearsal. While he specializes in Oktoberfest themed parties, you can certainly use his expertise to get started on making your own party perfect!

Ever wonder which dirndl style you are? Click here to take our quiz and find out now!
