Rare Dirndl Stories & Customer Spotlights

I love all fantasy and scifi, so Star Wars has always been one of my favorite movies series. And that’s why last year on Star Wars Day, I went all out!!

"Ohh, where to start... I love my Rare Dirndls. I own a few of them from Rare.  My custom, leopard print Rare Dirndl fits my feisty personality perfectly. When wearing it I feel amazing. When I wear my Rare Dirndl I notice that people look and notice me, and I shamelessly love that! I love wearing it and having multiple people come up to me and ask me questions about it and where I got it! I LOVE being able to tell them that I got it custom made for me from Rare Dirndl and that it is tailored to fit me and my personality in every way.

Emily from the Chardon Polka Band contacted me looking for something casual, modern and comfortable for her to wear while she performs with the band. We came up with a custom black and red design that is a dropped waist, knit sides for comfort and chain & edelweiss lace up front for some pizazz! After it arrived she said, "The vest fits AMAZINGLY!!!!!!  I have been wearing it to all our German shows lately! Everyone loves it and gives me compliments all the time!!!!!!!!"

My name is Katy Abt and I am from Cincinnati, Ohio. I am a member of the Cincinnati Donauschwaben and I dance with our youth group and Schuplatter group. My grandparents were Donauschwaben and while I have many dirndls from my Oma, my Rare dirndl is one of my favorites.  

Ingrid was one of my fabulous bridesmaids at our wedding in January 2016. She loved subtle details that covered the elegant grey and black dirndl. She was most excited because she has so many opportunities to wear it again!  

I mean who doesn't love everything this fashionable pig wears?! This time she has out done herself in a gorgeous dirndl which is a great match to Kermit's Lederhosen and classic gingham shirt.  

"I was not born into a German Club but I got there as fast as I could. German dance was something I wanted to do and sought out at the age of 9. I began at Vereinigung Erzgebirge where I danced for three years before it disbanded and I moved on to the United German Hungarians, whom I have been with for ten years.

Jenn is an expert at mixing her Trachten pieces with her everyday clothing. She loves to mix and match her dirndls, vests, accessories and blouses with her ready-to-wear from her closet... Dirndls Every Damn Day!!  

Who doesn't love a Barbie in a Dirndl? While Barbie has worn a few dirndls over the years, these are the most modern and fashion forward!
